Following the CQI conferences, a Regional Quality Council (RQC) meeting took place in each region. The initial RQCs focused on updating data collected by FCURP regarding the state of continuous quality improvement within private agencies in Illinois, utilizing a survey designed by Dr. Fotena Zirps with input from FCURP.

The survey was conducted by Ms. Sonja King and Mr. Ronald Culbertson of Kids Hope United, who also gave a presentation about how their agency conducts internal continuous quality improvement activities.

An example of a CQI problem solving process was provided, and agency representatives were encouraged to answer questions regarding the aspects of the process they currently have in place.

We've set up a RQC web forum for agency child welfare quality improvement staff to join, as a resource to solicit and share CQI ideas, activities and resources.

In addition, technical assistance is offered to agencies to help them establish their ideal system with as many of the recommended components as possible.
